Our 10-step Optimization Framework.

We have a 10-step optimization process.  We are agile and occasionally adapt this process as we discuss the approach that works best for you.

1) Define your business objectives and brainstorm questions

We will review your business objectives and the metrics you are looking to improve, whether it is growing leads, inquiries, clicks, revenue or something else.  We’ll also brainstorm a list of business questions we want to answer.

2) Implement data collection and identify key insights

Based on your objectives and the questions, we’ll implement data collection, hotspotting and click-tracking to help us answer our business questions.  As the data comes in, we’ll analyze it and identify key patterns.

3) Define the problem statement that we want to address

As we draw insights from the data, we’ll converge on key problem areas in your funnel which need attention.

4) Develop a roadmap of test hypotheses

We’ll then develop a list of hypotheses that we want to test, based on the insights that we have and the problem statements that we’ve defined.  We’ll prioritize and sort rank the list of hypotheses to form a roadmap that we can build upon.

5) Design treatments for each test

Based on each hypotheses we want to test, we’ll design treatments.  This includes low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.

6) Implement treatments

Based on the design, we’ll implement the treatment group either via a conversion optimization testing tool or on your website directly.

7) Launch properly-controlled tests

We’ll then launch the test, and ensure it is properly controlled.  We’ll continuously monitor the live test to identify patterns and begin to draw conclusions once the test reaches statistical significance.

8) Conduct post-test analysis

Once the test has reached statistical significance, we’ll analyze the test results and data to see how the treatment groups performed against the control group.

9) Learn and optimize our hypotheses

As we analyze the results, we will gain new insights which will inform new hypotheses to test.

10) Document our learnings

We document and store all of our test hypotheses, treatments, results and learnings.
